Are you Proud to be Pinoy?

Why not? Filipinos are everything and have everything. We are well rounded and can do a lot of things. Things like discovering the fluorescent bulb to serving hot coffee in the White House. Visitors are treated like Kings and Queens with the Pinoy Hospitality. They are served with the best (like gold plated utensils, as we do!) by the best. On how we treat fellow Filipinos abroad like family is matchless. You never will receive the same treatment by foreigners. Respectfulness comes next when we call elders as lola or lolo, tita or tito, kuya or ate and strangers as manongs or manangs. We respect everyone as we to ourselves and to God. What more could we ask for?

Truly we are the Pearl of the Orient Seas. Nothing is comparable with the 7107 islands with its verdant foliage and long sandy beaches, the Banaue Rice Terraces, the Chocolate Hills, and the scenic landscapes of Batanes! And the beautiful people with its rich culture!

We Pinoys are naturally superstitious, offerings for the souls of the boat coffins, eating twin bananas to bore twins and the like! These show our creative personalities and our unique perspective of seeing things in life. Could you ask for more?

We are a history. Three centuries of Spanish colonization, half a century with the Americans and five years with the Japanese, plus the Chinese and the Arab preoccupation and the three waves of Malayan settlements make us a mixed race. What more could you ask for?

We Pinoys are one of the happiest people in the world. We easily break a smile and roll on the floor laughing at the corniest jokes aand failed pranks. Nothing could make us any prouder than being born Pinoy. As for me, I’m a 100 % Pinoy and a 101% proud to be one!
